I love saving money - who doesn't? :)

I've decided to chronicle some of my savings here - mainly from coupon shopping. None of the stores in my area "double" coupons on a regular basis, so I'll never get to the really extreme savings, but I think I do pretty well. I do tend to "stockpile", but only on things my family will use, and only when I get good deals.

This blog will be a chronicle of my shopping adventures, but will also, on occasion, contain other tidbits of useful (and not so useful) information.

Walgreen's - May 1

Did really well on this trip....I only got things that were on sale and that I also had coupons for...didn't note full/regular price but register tape indicates the advertised savings.....which is part of the overall $127.12 SAVINGS this trip.....below are the highlights:

  • 4 boxes Osteo BiFlex (for my neighbor) ($19.99 ea) $79.96 - $39.98 (B1G1 sale) - $18 (3 x $6/1 cps) = $21.98 for 4 ($5.50 ea) plus got $3 cp for next purchase

  • 2 packs batteries ($2.99 ea on sale) $5.98 - $2 (2 x $1 cps) = $3.98 for 2 ($1.99 ea)
  • 4 candy bars ($0.49 ea on sale) $1.96 - $0.98 (2 x B1G1 manf cps) = $0.98 for 4 ($0.25 ea)
Total retail of all items (before any savings and discounts):  $194.60
Total OOP which included using $4 RR from last wk, and including tax and bottle deposit = $67.48 --- 65% savings, plus got $6 in RR and a $3 cpn
